Here are two simple Halloween costume ideas that don't need a lot of shopping and thinking for - in fact I am pretty sure you can find the elements of these looks in your closet!
First Costume Idea : Genie
Headpiece: Orelia Exclusives for Asos
Cropped Top: Charlotte Russe
Gold Cuff : Streets Ahead
Harem Pants: Jo No Fui
Gold Flat Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals
This is actually taken a page out of my own book - As I went as a genie to this early Halloween party I attended last week. It's really such an easy look to pull! All you need are harem pants, a black cropped top (doesn't have to be cropped if you're uncomfortable showing skin) some head necklaces (you can even use a plain old necklace like I did if you don't have any head chains) gold flat sandals and a cold cuff in each arm. Just like the genie in Aladdin. Remember he had gold cuffs in each wrist because he wasn't freed yet? Top it all of with a really smoky eye makeup look! If you don't have any of the above items at home here are some more options for you to chose from:
1. Johnny Loves Rosie 2. Love Rocks 3. Love Rocks 4. Forever 21 5. Forever 21 6. Kenneth Jay Lane 7. Asos 8. Rachel Zoe 9. Steve Madden
What do you guys think of this genie costume idea?
Second Costume Idea : Duchess of Cambridge
Dress: Diane Von Furstenberg
Clutch: Principles by Ben de Lisi
Pumps: Charles by Charles David
Now this second costume idea is a pretty simple one I would think! Everyone is enthralled with Kate Middleton's style, a.k.a. the Duchess of Cambridge. This costume totally gives you an excuse to wear a pretty fascinator too! Basically all you need is a nice fitted, rather conservative dress, a clutch bag and some sensible pumps! One idea to elevate this look and to make it more Halloweeney - check out scary make-up ideas and turn this look into a zombie duchess! Sounds gory but there are so many ways to tweak this look. Experiment with make-up and watch you tube videos on scary looks to do! It's Halloween - not the time to take yourself too seriously and definitely the time to have some crazy fun!
Here are more choices:
There you have it. Two easy looks to have for Halloween. There's absolutely no excuse anymore to say that you didn't have time to prepare for a costume -- just take a look at what's inside your closet and put on makeup!
